Schaatsen en skeeleren zijn echte Oer-Hollandse sporten die door mensen met een lichamelijke, visuele en/of verstandelijke beperking kunnen worden beoefend.

Wat houdt het aangepast schaatsen en skeeleren eigenlijk in?

Wij geven training aan jongeren met een beperking, al vindt onze trainster het een “aanvulling”. Verstandelijk, visueel of lichamelijk, ons is niets te gek en iedereen krijgt training op zijn/haar eigen niveau.

Niemand wordt verplicht iets te doen, wel aangemoedigd! Heeft iemand 1 op 1 begeleiding nodig? Dan regelen wij een begeleider of een andere manier van uitleg. Mensen mogen zichzelf zijn en iets niet kunnen of snappen is niet erg. Wij houden van positieve stimulatie en fouten maken mag!

Voorwaarde is dat je voldoende vaardig bent op de schaatsen.

About Stichting Deventer Sportploeg

The Deventer Sports Team - All winners! The Deventer Sports Team is the most special sports team in Deventer. All athletes have an intellectual disability. They play sports at various regular sports clubs in the city, at their own level. Exercise is healthy and fun to do. The pleasure that the athletes of the Deventer Sports Team have in practicing their sport is great. They take pride in the performance they deliver and they enjoy the attention they receive. Integration and participation are magic words. Everyone should be able to participate in everything, but that is easier said than done. For athletes with a disability, but also for sports clubs there are sometimes quite a few hooks and eyes. Objectives The Deventer Sportploeg Foundation wants to make it possible for people with intellectual disabilities to participate in various sports in the city. And by making it possible for the team to participate in various tournaments, the highlight of which is the biennial Special Olympics. In addition, the foundation wants to encourage (sports) associations in Deventer to open their doors to people with intellectual disabilities and to expand the range in a responsible manner.
