KadoLokaal is a gift shop in the centre of Wageningen; a collaboration between healthcare organisation Zideris and the practical education of the Pantarijn. The shop likes to contribute to an inclusive society: a society that offers every person opportunities. KadoLokaal is therefore happy to connect to other initiatives such as the Maatjesproject.

At KadoLokaal you will find original and handmade gifts. Each with their own story, made by students and clients but also by small local entrepreneurs and artists. In addition, KadoLokaal is the address in the city center for various regional products and beautiful plants.

KadoLokaal runs on volunteers during weekends and vacation periods. The store has no employees other than teachers and care supervisors. This means that many tasks are waiting for enthusiastic volunteers who want to use their talents for the store.

We would like to get in touch with you if you would like to contribute to this. From practical hands-on work to brainstorming and organizing.

We are looking for helpers for various tasks:

• Tidying up and keeping the shop clean

• Setting up a Music & Art room: a place at the back of the store where there is room for exhibitions, live music and workshops. What needs to happen: raising subsidies, decorating the space, arranging the content

• Building an informative website

• Keeping the website up to date

• Promote KadoLokaal via social media

• Improving communication and the story of KadoLokaal

• Creating the roster for staffing the store

What are we asking?

• You would like to take on one or more of the above tasks.

• You have one of the following talents;

• You like to organize and you are good at it
• You have insight into communication and see how it can be improved
• You are practical and not afraid to get your hands dirty
• You enjoy writing catchy texts
• You have an eye for online communication
• You know how to make a great store like KadoLokaal even better known in Wageningen
• You enjoy planning and putting together complex schedules

• You are willing to get to know the store and its people and, for example, work for a few hours to get a feel for the store.

• You can collaborate and coordinate well

What do we offer?

• We do it together! You are part of a group of approximately 12 passionate and committed volunteers.

• You will be trained and shown the ins and outs of the store.

• We offer all our volunteers a volunteer contract.
