Help a child travel to school!

You probably know them, the vans that daily transport students to their school for special education. A wonderful solution, but it can often be done differently. That is why the project Together Traveling with... of 'De Reiskoffer' starts where these students learn to go to school independently. In order for students to travel independently, they must learn how to get to school. This can be done by bicycle or by public transport. For this learning process we are looking for volunteers who want to accompany these children to school.

We are looking for volunteers for various municipalities who want to participate in the project 'De Reiskoffer' for the part 'Traveling together with' to guide these children. Without supervision, these children remain dependent on special transport. With your help, they will soon be able to go to school on their own and that does something to them. The children learn to go through life independently, become more independent and gain more self-confidence. Moreover, it is something that the students themselves benefit from throughout their lives.

We ask

• Your weekly commitment (times and number of hours in consultation, possible from 8 hours per week).

• Your involvement with these children so that they learn to trust you and that you give them the confidence to travel independently.

• Submitting a valid VOG statement (this will be reimbursed)

We have specific vacancies for the municipality of Wageningen, but we are also looking hard in other municipalities.
