Linda loves socializing, cycling on the tandem, walking and shopping for clothes, but she can't do this alone
Who is Linda?
Linda is a cheerful, friendly woman of 63 years old with a moderate intellectual disability. This can be compared to a toddler age. She likes to chat and speaks Dutch, English and German at her level. She likes to go to day care and always wants to have something to do. She also enjoys walking and cycling on the tandem bike. She cannot do this alone, due to her disability. Linda uses a wheelchair and a Ross Return to get up. Her supervisors can tell you more about this and show you.
What is Linda asking?
For Linda we are looking for a volunteer who comes once a week/2 weeks/month in the weekend or on Wednesday afternoon for her. Someone who wants to cycle with her on the tandem bike, take a nice walk in our residential care park or outside (in the wheelchair) have a nice meal at our Brasserie or go shopping. Just having a nice chat and being there especially for her is of great added value to Linda. Someone who has the patience to get to know her. An hour at a time is already very nice. Will you take Linda with you?

Think of taking a walk, playing a game or just having a good conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee.
