Summary

Tineke is looking for a buddy to go out together

Detailed description

Tineke likes balloons, cycling, shopping, sweets and knitting, but especially contact with someone who is special to her. Tineke can greatly (yes, with a capital letter) look forward to your visit, and especially to an outing together. Her anticipation is great. Tineke loves to get balls of wool with you, eat an ice cream on a bench, take a ride on the train, buy a nice blouse together in a clothing store, and of course drink a cup of coffee with a pastry.

Who is Tineke:

Tineke is a 65-year-old woman with a moderate to severe intellectual disability.

Tineke is deaf and has a limited field of vision. Tineke can easily find her way in her own environment. In unfamiliar territory, she needs proximity, using her guided stick. Tineke communicates by making gestures, and/or taking you by the hand to show you what she means. Tineke doesn't make contact so easily if she doesn't know you yet. Don't expect social interaction in the sense of a warm greeting and interest in you.

The contact will mainly focus on her pleasure. This is where the interaction is. Her happiness and enjoyment are visible and palpable, and that is what she gives. Tineke can honestly beam with joy.

For Tineke it is very important that she knows where she stands. She would like to know what will happen, the order in which it will happen and when it will be over. We will of course help you explain this to Tineke together, and also how you can guide her in this.

What does Tineke ask

  • Someone who, like Tineke, likes to go out, eat a cake, take a train ride or go on a bike ride.
  • Someone who does not immediately expect social interaction, but can enjoy her happiness. (It's infectious).
  • Someone who is patient, and open to learning to understand her gestures and to apply them herself.
  • Someone who wants to be her buddy for a long time.
  • Someone who can offer closeness when Tineke needs it.
  • Someone who can adapt to Tineke's pace and understanding.
  • Someone who understands Tineke in her wish for clarity, and who respects and follows an order of what will happen.

Would you like to meet Tineke, and/or talk to one of the employees of her home? You are most welcome.

's Heerenloo offers you:

  • The possibility of training and information meetings.
  • Insured for third party liability and accidents.
  • Travel and expense reimbursement.
  • An annual volunteer party as a thank you for your efforts.
  • An end-of-year gift.
  • Support from Tineke's home, where necessary.

We hope to meet you!
