For our church “het Vierhuis” on the residential care park of 's Heeren Loo, we are looking for hostesses/hosts

The church:

Our residential care park is an institution for people with a mental and sometimes physical disability. The people live and work in our protected environment. All facilities are present on the site. Including our church; the Vierhuis.

The clients of 's Heeren Loo come here on Sundays with or without a supervisor or family to the worship and storytelling services. The services are adapted to the level of our clients, so that everyone finds it a warm, safe and pleasant place to come. One client sings all the songs at the top of their lungs, another client knows all the stories and yet another client sways along to the music of the organ. A pleasant, recognizable place for everyone, where everyone brings out their own part. Approximately 150 people come to our storytelling service and 400 people to our worship service.

The volunteer hostess/host:

The tasks of the hostess/host are; ensuring that everything is ready together with the sexton. You provide the coffee and tea. We are looking for a number of hostesses. Hostesses/hosts who rotate in consultation and provide a service approximately once a month together with the sexton. We are looking for hostesses/hosts who respect everyone's faith and who can ensure a well-cared-for service. You meet with the team 4 times a year. For each service, the hostess/host receives a memo stating what is going to happen.

Within 's Heeren Loo, the efforts of volunteers are valuable. They contribute to a meaningful existence for people with an intellectual disability. Thanks to the many volunteers of 's Heeren Loo, we can organize extra activities and fulfill personal attention and wishes for clients. Think of taking a walk, playing a game or just having a good conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee.
