Do you enjoy the little things together with Ronald?

Ronald is a 75 year old man who enjoys playing records, having a cup of coffee somewhere or going to our church. But together is much more fun than alone.

Who is Ronald?

Ronald is a 75-year-old man with a moderate intellectual disability. He lives in a residential group on the grounds of 's Heeren Loo. He is often cheerful and enthusiastic. He comes across as eloquent, but has a low IQ, which makes him easily overestimated. This sometimes gets in his way. He can get upset if he doesn't understand something, but after some comforting, that is often okay again. He likes to be helped with the things he finds difficult. Ronald is mobile. He likes to cycle on his tricycle, likes to walk, is crazy about playing records on his pick-up, likes to look at football books and likes to go out for some fun. Going to church on our grounds is very important to him. He has epilepsy and is given medication for it. It doesn't happen often. But the volunteer is of course trained in this.

What is Ronald asking?

For Ronald we are looking for a volunteer who will come especially for him. Together for a cup of coffee, together to church, nice walk or somewhere where it is pleasant.

A volunteer who is friendly and calm.

The day, time and frequency do not matter that much. Preferably someone who can come at least once a month to establish a bond with him.

During the week he has day care until 1:00 PM.

Thanks to the many volunteers of 's Heeren Loo, we can organize extra activities and fulfill personal attention and wishes for clients. Think of taking a walk, playing a game or just having a good conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee.
