Summary

Doing small chores in a friendly manner.

Detailed description

We are looking for a volunteer for 2 clients with an advancing age. They have a mental disability and both attend daytime activities at our petting zoo. With their advancing age they have to take it a bit more calmly than was the case in the past, and the geniality and coziness also become more important to them than really having to roll up their sleeves at the petting zoo.

That is why they are looking for a volunteer who can do small jobs on the farm with them individually throughout the day. Think of watering plants, taking a look at the animals, etc. Conviviality and passing the time in a friendly way are more important than the chores themselves, our clients enjoy them very much and come into their own with some extra personal attention.

One of the 2 uses a wheelchair and can move himself well with it, only with longer distances he sometimes needs help. He doesn't talk, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know what he wants, he can make it clear in his own way what he likes and doesn't like.

The other likes jokes and fun and always has something to say. She loves the open space we have at the petting zoo and that things shouldn't be allowed. She does well with that.

If you would like to do small jobs with our clients in a friendly manner and in peace, we would love to hear from you. We are sure that if it clicks, they will really enjoy your presence and extra attention.

Our daytime activities at the Children's Farm are open 5 days a week, so you are welcome at various times. Of course we don't expect you to be there every day. As far as we are concerned, days and times can be discussed in consultation and your options are the starting point.

We would love to hear from you!
