Participants wanted for the FIT2D study

Who are we looking for?

Are you between 18 and 80 years old, do you have a BMI between 18.5 and 35 kg/m² and do you have type 2 diabetes ?

Then you can participate in this study into the effect of physical inactivity on muscles.

At Wageningen University we have started a study on the effects of physical inactivity, such as during a hospital stay or when you wear a cast after a broken bone. With this study we want to better understand how we can keep the muscles of people with type 2 diabetes healthy when exercise is temporarily not possible.

What does participation entail?

You will visit the university a total of 5 times, including a test period during which you will wear a cast on your forearm for 2 days.

You will receive €425, travel expenses and free meals during the research days.
