Welcome visitors to Thuis. As a host, you keep Thuis open for a half day a week, receive people, show them the space and tell them what Thuis is.
People come to Thuis to work, drink coffee, participate in activities or with questions about how to start an initiative themselves. As a host, you are a familiar face and point of contact for them. You are part of a team of other hosts.
What are you going to do?
- Guiding visitors
- Maintaining the atmosphere in the City Room
- Explain to visitors what they can share
- (Together) ensuring that the City Room looks neat
- Telling the Story of Home
- Receiving donations and paying for books
- Prepare coffee, tea and cups
- Put on a nice music list ;)
- Chatting with various visitors
- There is often space to do your own things, such as knitting or reading
Who are we looking for?
You like to connect people, you are hospitable and independent.
What do we have to offer you?
You will become part of a fun team of Thuismakers. We offer you a nice workplace where there is room for your own ideas and talents. Volunteer allowance possible in consultation.
What makes the work worthwhile?
You come into contact with many different people and by working at Thuis you know what is going on in society. As a host you ensure that Thuis can be open. For many residents of the city Thuis is a valuable place.
Working hours:
Part of the day/parts in consultation:
Mondays-Fridays between 08:45 - 12:30 or 12:30 - 17:15.
