Looking for a fixed volunteer role? You volunteer 1 or 2 set days per month from 09:00 to 16:30. You care for the animals and you act as a host for visitors.
Volunteer at Stadsboerderij Wageningen. You help care for the animals, keep the site clean and tidy, and you are a friendly point of contact for visitors.
You volunteer 1 or 2 fixed days per month. For example, every first Sunday of the month. On your day, you are on site for the full day. A second volunteer will join you in the morning or in the afternoon.
What you will do
- Feed the animals, provide fresh water, and do daily care
- Clean and check animal enclosures
- Keep the grounds and public areas clean and tidy
- Welcome visitors and answer questions
- Keep the day running smoothly following our standard way of working
- Report any animal welfare concerns to the team
Who we are looking for
- You are calm, friendly, and clear when speaking with children and visitors
- You work neatly and you are physically able to do tasks such as lifting, sweeping, and cleaning
- You are reliable and you like having a fixed role
- Experience with animals is a plus, but not required
- You speak Dutch or English
- A VOG is required. Stadsboerderij will arrange this for you free of charge
