Summary

As a Market Coordinator at Talking Hands, you will lead an enthusiastic team of volunteers and promote beautiful Ugandan crafts.

Detailed description

About Talking Hands Foundation

The Talking Hands Foundation is dedicated to supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing people in Uganda, with a special focus on education and inclusion. We strive for a world in which everyone has equal opportunities to lead an independent and dignified life.

To fund our projects, we sell unique, handmade crafts created by deaf women in Uganda. These talented artisans produce a range of beautiful items, including bags, skirts, baskets, wallets, fanny packs, stuffed animals, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, all crafted from local, natural materials and vibrant African fabrics.

Each product tells its own creative and cultural story, helping to raise funds for our educational programs. In this way, we increase employment opportunities for deaf women and support the development of deaf and hard-of-hearing youth.
