Enthuse visitors for walking and cycling on the Veluwe and the work of Staatsbosbeheer. Sell and maintain products in the store.
Information center 't Leesten near Ugchelen is the gateway to the central Veluwe. The center is located in the forest pavilion 't Leesten, which has been open since 2020. People come to visit the area, with or without a dog, and to visit the catering industry or for one of the activities that are developed in the area. We are looking for volunteers who enjoy inspiring visitors about Staatsbosbeheer and the Veluwe, the activities and the products in the store. Will you join this team as a volunteer at Staatsbosbeheer?
What are we asking?
You enjoy making visitors enthusiastic about the Veluwe and the work of Staatsbosbeheer. You like to help people with the questions they have, both about the recreational options and about management and the plants and animals. You enjoy ensuring that the store's turnover increases through your efforts. You are meticulous, enjoy working together, have an affinity with the store and are available at least one day a week, including twice a month on weekends. The activities consist of;
o Welcome visitors
o Provide information about the activities, routes, management, products and the exhibition
o Receiving groups and helping them get started in the exhibition.
o Answering the phone
o Keeping the store and exhibition tidy and preparing activities
o Paying for store products with the cash register
You are/can;
o Computer skills; look up information and make online bookings
o Wrapping gifts
o Stress-resistant, service-oriented and customer-friendly when the counter is busy
o Dealing with critical questions from visitors
o Dealing with children
o Provide product information
o Presenting and displaying items in the store and replenishing them
o Check deliveries for the store
o Pricing and mirroring items
o Support with (children's) activities that take place in or near the center.

What do we offer?
Beautiful workplace on the Veluwe. We ensure that you are trained in dealing with customers, operating the cash register, etc. During the year we will organize volunteer meetings in which various topics are discussed. We offer an inspiring working environment in a beautiful nature reserve, nice colleagues and enthusiastic visitors.
You will receive volunteer clothing that will be worn during services. You may also receive a small expense or travel allowance.
