Storekeeper Saturday afternoon

KadoLokaal is a gift shop in the center of Wageningen; a collaboration between care organization Zideris and the practical education of the Pantarijn. The store gives (young) adults who need just that little bit of extra support the opportunity to develop their talents to the fullest. KadoLokaal wants to contribute to an inclusive society: a society that offers every person opportunities.

At KadoLokaal you will find original and handmade gifts. Each with their own story, because made by students and clients, but also by small local entrepreneurs. In addition, KadoLokaal is the address in the city center for various regional products.

There is no education on Saturday afternoons, and no daytime activities. So there is no one to man the store. That's a shame, because that's when a lot of customers come. That is why we work with volunteers on those days. Sometimes a student will help in the shop on those days, sometimes not.

Do you endorse the objective of Kadolokaal, and would you like to be in a store? Then we are looking for you.

Your duties:

• Keep the shop running for one part of the day (Friday afternoon, Saturday morning or Saturday afternoon).
• If applicable: supervising a student from practical education or from the VMBO.

What do we ask?

• Customer-friendly attitude.
• Be available at least one half-day every four weeks.
• Being able to work independently after an induction period.
• This vacancy is also open to English-speaking volunteers.

What do we offer?

• You are part of a group of about 12 enthusiastic volunteers.
• The shopping schedule is made at least one month in advance. Of course, we take your preferences into account.
• During your shift there is always a 'backstop' ready.
• We offer a volunteer contract to all our volunteers.
