What are you going to do?
Our client has now ended his working life after a period of illness. As a result, he misses the daily interaction with colleagues and especially the appeal and conviviality. We are looking for someone who enjoys doing fun, new activities with him, such as: visiting his birthplace in Apeldoorn, taking a walk, having a chat or having a nice cup of coffee somewhere.
Will you be a buddy?
As a buddy you can really make a difference in the life of our client. Our client lives in a small world with few family or friends, so loneliness is lurking. As a buddy you can break through this by simply doing fun things together and 'being' there for him.
You meet about once a week. Together you discuss what you are going to do, for example walking, cycling, doing puzzles, having a chat or drinking coffee somewhere. Our client is also eager to visit Apeldoorn to visit places from his past and reminisce.
Do you have what it takes to make our client enthusiastic to further explore his own possibilities? As a buddy you can support him by taking a first step together.
Where do we go from here?
After your registration there will be an introductory meeting where we would like to hear from you who you are, what your hobbies are and what makes you happy. We always look very closely at the similarities in hobbies, age or attitude to life, etc. When we think there is a good match, we schedule a first meeting.
What do you get in return?
Of course you also get a lot in return for your enthusiastic efforts. You experience that your attention is important in the life of our client. We ensure that you can carry out your volunteer work properly. We offer guidance, training, insurance, clear agreements laid down in a volunteer agreement and volunteer compensation.
Who are you?
You are open to life. You can empathize with others without judgment. You are reliable and you are able to enter into a nice contact with our client. You know how to activate and enthuse our client in a natural way. If necessary, you can also be clear and indicate your boundaries. You are available at least once a week.
