Do you want to make a difference in people's lives? You can! Become a visiting volunteer for a client at the Forensic Psychiatric Department de Boog in Warnsveld.
You visit a client once every 2 to 3 weeks, this is in consultation with you. Depending on what is possible and where the request for help lies, you can for example go for a walk together, play a game, have a cup of coffee, go to the store, etc.
Social contact is paramount in everything.
Your social skills are important here. You make contact easily. You are someone who can listen attentively without judgement. You can indicate your boundaries and are 24 years or older.
Often the social network of that person is limited and you will quickly experience how much someone appreciates it that you come especially for him/her! Your company contributes to his/her well-being.
You will receive good personal guidance and there are volunteer meetings every 7 weeks. In addition, training courses are offered.
You will receive travel expenses and an application for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is mandatory, this is completely free of charge.
