Creating something new together for your neighborhood is energizing! For the Apeldoorn Noord team, we're looking for Bike Managers and Coordinators to connect cycling buddies.
In 2022, the Fietsmaatjes Apeldoorn en Omstreken Foundation purchased four tandem bicycles to enable people with limited mobility to enjoy scenic bike rides with a volunteer. This year, we plan to expand further to North Apeldoorn.
Do you live in North Apeldoorn and are you looking for volunteer work in an enthusiastic and committed team that also allows you to enjoy the beautiful nature? Then sign up with us! Creating something new together that makes a difference in your neighborhood is energizing!
We're looking for bike managers in your area to handle preventative maintenance on the tandem bike. We're also looking for coordinators to meet new members and conduct test rides. The coordinator will connect cycling buddies and stay in touch with them about their experiences. Cycling volunteers are also welcome!

“Bicycle Buddies” is a (national) initiative that enables anyone who is not (or no longer) able to cycle independently to set out on an (electrically assisted) side-by-side tandem with a bicycle buddy (bicycle volunteer). At the moment, side-by-side tandems are often only available for residents of institutions, but Fietsmetjes also makes them accessible to people who still live at home.
