In 2022, the Fietsmaatjes Apeldoorn en Omstreeken Foundation started with duo bicycles to enable people who are less mobile to take beautiful bike rides together with a volunteer. This year we want to expand further in Apeldoorn South.
There are now guests and new registrations in South. We are therefore urgently looking for new cycling volunteers. We cannot go cycling without volunteers.
If you live in Apeldoorn South and are looking for volunteer work in an enthusiastic and committed team where you can also enjoy the beautiful nature, please register with us! Setting up something new together that is meaningful to your own neighborhood, that gives you energy!
To this end, we are looking for bicycle managers in your area for preventive maintenance of the duo bike. We are also looking for coordinators who meet new registrations and do a test drive. The coordinator links cycling buddies together and keeps in touch with them about their experiences. Cycling volunteers are also welcome!

About Fietsmaatjes Apeldoorn
“Bicycle Buddies” is a (national) initiative that enables anyone who is not (or no longer) able to cycle independently to set out on an (electrically assisted) side-by-side tandem with a bicycle buddy (bicycle volunteer). At the moment, side-by-side tandems are often only available for residents of institutions, but Fietsmetjes also makes them accessible to people who still live at home.
