You can enjoy cycling in and around the municipality of Apeldoorn. Unfortunately, this beautiful area is only accessible to a limited extent for residents who are less mobile. While it is extra nice to go outside, to keep moving and to be among people. “Bicycle Buddies” is a (national) initiative that enables anyone who is not (or no longer) able to cycle independently to set out on an (electrically assisted) side-by-side tandem with a bicycle buddy (bicycle volunteer). At the moment, side-by-side tandems are often only available for residents of institutions, but Fietsmetjes also makes them accessible to people who still live at home. The wind in your hair.
