Cycling together on the Duo bike or on the Wheelchair bike
Are you ready for a sporting challenge and would you like to combine this with volunteer work?
The beautiful weather is here at the moment! Everyone likes to go out then. The residents of the Heemhof nursing home are itching to go out and also like to go out. For this purpose, the Heemhof has wheelchair bikes and tandem bikes.
If you would like to go for a bike ride with a resident and have a chat along the way while enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings of Apeldoorn, then read on.
If you can give our residents a moment of happiness on one of the bikes, you will receive instructions from an experienced colleague or volunteer on cycling on the wheelchair bike and/or the duo bike. You will also be told what to do in case of a breakdown on the road. You will cycle a test route yourself so that you experience how the bike feels and works.
You will first get to know the residents who are coming along, which will make it a little easier to get the conversation going.
