Who are we?
We are located at the residential care park of 's Heeren Loo. At the academy for independence, clients with a mild intellectual disability can develop themselves further by following a training or education. They do this at their own pace and with their own way of learning. The clients come to the academy 1 half day per week. They can follow training courses, do an education or do homework guidance of an MBO education. We offer various training courses; reading and writing, digital skills, learning a bicycle route in traffic, healthy food and cooking, car and scooter theory and much more. What are we asking?
We are looking for a volunteer(s) who would like to assist the trainers.
This can be within a group training, but also an individual training.
This is always done in collaboration with a trainer.
This way, the students receive more individual attention and support.
This helped us a lot!
In consultation you will see which training suits you best and which part of the day suits you best. It is from 8:30-12:00 and/or from 12:30-16:00.
Are you enthusiastic, patient and does it suit you to teach people something new or to support them? Then contact the volunteer coordinator to get acquainted!
