Wim loves to walk and is looking for someone to do this with him
Who is Wim?
Wim is an active man of 67 years with a severe intellectual disability. He is a tall slender man who likes to be outside. He is a cheerful man and when Wim gets to know you he seeks more and more contact, gives you an arm and seeks eye contact. Wim can walk well without aids and is able to cover large distances. He doesn't talk, but he can make things clear by pointing and looking. He likes to work, but when he is not working, he becomes restless. The empty moments are not good for him. As soon as the guidance goes for a walk, he is at the door to go outside. Wim can sometimes jump restlessly when he is a bit tense, but is certainly not aggressive.
What is Wim asking?
For Wim we are looking for someone who likes to go for a nice walk. This can be done here on the site and later perhaps also outside the site. A volunteer who could be on the weekend, because Wim doesn't work then. This could be once a week, once every two weeks or once a month. Please between 10:00-17:00
