Who lets Paula enjoy a cup of chocolate milk?

Who is Paula?

Paula is a 62-year-old woman with a severe intellectual disability. She cannot speak, but makes things clear non-verbally and with sounds. Paula can walk well and is hard of hearing. She has an Indian appearance.

She makes contact in a simple way. She radiates satisfaction with a smile and can be very radiant.

She likes to walk, likes to ride on the side-by-side tandem, likes to do puzzles and likes to play with simple toys; like a lid.

What does Paula ask?

For Paula we are looking for a volunteer who comes especially for her, someone with whom she can walk through our beautiful residential care park or perhaps beyond, drink a cup of coffee or chocolate milk in our restaurant, someone who goes with her to the pedicure or takes her for an outing. The little things make her shine. She has no preference for a day or time.

Think of taking a walk, playing a game or just having a good conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee.
