Who is coming especially for Marco?

Who is Marco?:

Marco is a cheerful 34-year-old man with a moderate intellectual disability. Its developmental age is between 2 and 4 years. He lives in a residential group on the grounds of 's Heeren Loo. He is supervised 24 hours. He is a cheerful man with a great sense of humour. When he is comfortable, he jokes a lot. He has developed his own language, with his own words. A fun challenge to learn to understand his language! Marco likes to watch all sports and likes to talk about them. He enjoys listening to music and cycling. But he would rather go for a nice day out. Marco is visually impaired. His supervisors are happy to tell you more about him!

What is Marco asking?:

We are looking for a buddy for Marco. A man or woman who likes to come once a month or more especially for Marco. Escape from the group where he lives. He would like to cycle together, watch sports together, go for a day or go somewhere. His supervisors can coordinate this with you as a volunteer. We are looking for someone who, like him, has humor and can appreciate his jokes, someone who has the patience to understand his language and someone who wants to experience fun things with him. Every other weekend he goes to his parents and on Wednesday evening he can't. But otherwise it is open for all days.

Thanks to the many volunteers of 's Heeren Loo, we can organize extra activities and fulfill personal attention and wishes for clients. Think of taking a walk, playing a game or just having a good conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee.
