Who is Fritz?

Frits is a 66-year-old man with a mild intellectual disability. He lives in a residential group in the Zuidbroek district that is part of 's Heeren Loo. Here he receives 24-hour care. Frits is a cheerful and pleasant man who likes to talk and has a lot of imagination. He likes to joke. He is independent in terms of skills, communicatively comparable to someone of 8 years old and socially comparable to someone of 4 years old. He likes it when he is spoken to directly, clearly and clearly. He is safe in traffic, can walk well and can swim. He likes to be active; like walking, cycling and he likes to work with his hands. He then makes birdhouses on diamond painting. But he also enjoys fishing, going out to a fair or playing a game. During the day he goes to day care, but in April 2024 he will retire and have much more free time.

What does Frits ask?

Frits has been asking for a volunteer for a long time and thinks of everything he would like to do with a volunteer. He is looking for someone who has energy, is enterprising just like him, is in for a joke, who would like to go out with him. For example, cycling, walking, outings, making things together, eating somewhere, having a nice chat. In short, a lot that you can make Frits happy with. Especially that someone comes especially for him! Gender and age do not matter, humor and being enterprising are more important. If you go on an outing with Frits, you will discuss the budget in advance with the guidance. The day and time are negotiable. Once a week would be very nice, but less is also possible. In 2024 he can work every day because of his retirement.

Thanks to the many volunteers of 's Heeren Loo, we can organize extra activities and fulfill personal attention and wishes for clients. Think of taking a walk, playing a game or just having a good conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee.
