Mark is looking for a quiet buddy who wants to visit him
Who is Mark?
Mark is a 33-year-old man with a normal IQ. He lives on his own in an apartment and occasionally receives ambulatory support from supervisors from 's Heeren Loo. He is a quiet man, who does not like a lot of crowds around him, but he does like fun. He likes to do 1 on 1 activities with someone. He likes to look well-groomed and is very concerned with his appearance. He likes to wear jewelry and usually a cap. In his apartment he is busy setting up a room as a music studio. He enjoys making and listening to music, mostly hip-hop. He makes beats on his laptop. Besides music, he likes to walk, watch a movie or have a cup of coffee with someone. He has daytime activities several days a week. He can move around well by bicycle or public transport. Unfortunately, things don't always go well for him. When he is busy, he quickly becomes overstimulated. If he experiences a lot of stress or does not sleep well for a while, he will not feel well. In recent years he has had several psychoses. He has PDD-NOS.
What is Mark asking?
Mark is looking for a volunteer who is calm, clear, but also pleasant. Someone who can talk in short, concise sentences. “Do what you say and say what you do”. He prefers to make and listen to music with a buddy. He would also like to go for a walk or go to the cinema together now and then. But just drinking a cup of coffee at his house is also nice. As a volunteer you can fall back on his supervisor for consultation or questions. It is important to know that his supervisor does not work every day and that it can sometimes take a while before you can consult. As a volunteer you must therefore be independent enough.
Wednesday evening is his preference, but another day is also possible in consultation. The frequency is in consultation.
