Who is Joris?
Joris is a sociable, spontaneous, friendly young man of 26 years old with a mild intellectual disability. He recently moved to a new residential group at the residential care park of 's Heeren Loo. In order to expand his network in Apeldoorn and to be able to do fun things, he is looking for a volunteer/buddy. He already has a volunteer who he is very happy with, but he would like to have more fun contact. You can have a good conversation with Joris and he knows very well what he finds important and what he does not want. He is straight to the point and he likes that in others. Clarity is very important to him. He is up for a joke. Joris is a real bon vivant and loves conviviality. He likes to go to a restaurant, to the Gamehal to play games, likes hip hop, a festival or concert, going to an amusement park, Ajax but he also likes just walking and chatting. As long as it is fun! At the moment he works during the day in the restaurant at Brownies and Downies, but the direction is towards something else. He already has a volunteer from his old residential group, but he would really like to have another volunteer so that he has someone to do fun things with or to chat with more often.
What is Joris asking?
Joris is looking for a buddy who comes especially for him. The time, day and frequency are negotiable. During the week, during the day he has daytime activities. Someone who, like him, enjoys socializing, has humor, is clear and sees similarities with his hobbies. Sometimes an hour of walking and catching up is already of added value and sometimes you plan a nice outing together or go out for a bite to eat together. Joris likes to think along with you.
