Our 4 clients with intellectual disabilities are eager to cycle on our electric duo bike on Saturday!
Who are we?
Our house is on the grounds of 's Heeren Loo. Clients receive 24-hour care here. 16 clients live in our 2 houses next to each other. These people have a moderate intellectual disability and function at a level comparable to a toddler. They are all elderly. It is a cozy house, where a number of clients can talk. At the weekend they are all at home and it is wonderful if everyone can go outside for a breath of fresh air. One-on-one attention can do a lot. But unfortunately there is not always time for that.
That is why we are looking for a volunteer.
What do we ask?
We are looking for a volunteer who can cycle a short distance across our beautiful grounds with 4 of our clients. This bike ride doesn't have to be long. Fifteen minutes is already very nice. If you cycle with all clients that Saturday, you will only be cycling for an hour. It will take you an hour and you will make 4 clients happy! Preferably 2x a month on a Saturday, but during the week is also negotiable. We have our own side-by-side tandem with electric assistance. Of course you will be trained in cycling with this bike and dealing with these clients.
