Volunteer for disabled care - Corona We always continue in healthcare. We don't stop when the going gets tough. Or heavy. Even now, during the corona crisis in the Netherlands, we continue. Together, so that we can offer our clients the best possible care in this time.
Detailed description
Who are we?
's Heeren Loo helps people with a mild to severe intellectual disability or other disabilities. From young to old. With light care where possible, and with (temporary) intensive care if necessary. About 500 clients live on the 's Heeren Loo Apeldoorn site, and another 200 outside it. Because of the Covid-19, these clients have no day spending and they do not receive visitors.
Covid-19 is a risk for everyone, especially vulnerable people. We are doing everything we can to continue the care for the people we support as normal as possible. The developments surrounding the corona virus are closely monitored by 's Heeren Loo.

Due to the corona virus, we are making an inventory of which volunteers would like to come and help in time of need. Think of the outbreak of the virus, causing healthcare staff to drop out or be extra busy. We can really use your help. This can be to support the homes, so that the care staff can focus on care. Think of extra hands to take care of the meals, make the beds, play a game, take a walk and possibly also to help with the care of the clients if necessary.
How are you going to help?
Are you not in the risk group? and do you want to contribute if necessary? Do you have an affinity with healthcare? and can you get started with few instructions?
