Who is Jeroen?
Jeroen is a 30-year-old man with a moderate intellectual disability with Down syndrome. He lives just outside the grounds of 's Heeren Loo in a residential group where he receives 24-hour care. He functions on a level comparable to that of a toddler. He is often cheerful, but can also be mischievous and a bit stubborn. Jeroen first looks the cat out of the tree. If you know him a little better, you can understand him well, but this will be a bit more difficult in the beginning. He is mobile and can cycle. He loves dancing, music and especially the Snollebollekes! He likes walking, cycling, swimming, shuffleboard and baking. He likes to watch The Voice on TV. His parents are very involved.
What does he ask?
We are looking for a fun, friendly volunteer. Someone who wants to invest in contact and who wants to build up contact quietly. Someone with a sense of humour, who's up for a little silly with him if he feels safe enough.
The volunteer must also be someone who can be clear, so that he feels safe.
The day or time that the volunteer will come especially for him will be discussed.
