Who is Annie?
Annie is a 79-year-old woman with a severe intellectual disability. She functions at the level of 2 years. She communicates with gestures and sounds. And understands small assignments. She can walk on her own, and seeks support from you while walking. Something she loves! She really enjoys attention and likes to go outside. She lives in a residential group on the grounds of 's Heeren Loo. During the week Annie goes to day care. At the weekend she misses her daily activities and is not always there for a walk or bike ride. This involves a walk across the grounds of 's Heeren Loo or a bike ride of less than an hour on a side-by-side tandem.
What is Annie asking?
It would be nice for Annie if someone came especially for her. You would clearly see from her that she is happy that you are coming. Someone who can go out with her for an hour on the weekend. Take a nice walk or take a ride on the side-by-side tandem. And maybe a cup of coffee at our Brasserie. We are looking for a volunteer who can do this every week, but less often is also very nice. The time on the weekend doesn't matter much. Are you enthusiastic and do you have an hour to spare on the weekend? Then come and meet us without obligation!

just having a good conversation over a cup of coffee.
