Are you a good listener? Are you between 18 and 30 years old? Are you available at least two Monday afternoons a month? Then we're looking for you!
About @ease:
At @ease, young people aged 12 to 25 can drop in or chat with no obligation to discuss their concerns. Topics can range widely: heartbreak, drug use, divorce, bullying, eating habits, study stress, low mood, debt, and more. No matter how big or small the personal issues are, at @ease they can talk about them. Anonymously and free of charge!
At @ease, we believe no young person should be left alone when life isn't going well. And we could really use your help!
What are you going to do?
- You can have @ease conversations on location in Apeldoorn during our consultation hours on Monday afternoons and via chat with young people who are looking for a listening ear.
- You can share your thoughts and participate in promotional activities to ensure that more young people hear about @ease.
- You can join our social media team.
Important to know:
- You'll complete the two-day @ease training before starting your interviews. The next training sessions will take place on September 26th and October 3rd.
- You will always have @ease conversations with 1 other volunteer on Mondays between 1:30 PM and 5:00 PM.
- You will receive guidance from a professional on location.
- We will request a VOG (certificate of good conduct) for you.
- Any mental health issues you may have will not directly hinder you when you talk to young people at @ease.
- Your empathy is good and you are open to development.

About @ease
Talking helps!
At @ease we believe that things can be done differently. And that things have to be different. We want to help young people with (incipient) psychological complaints earlier. We do this by being a place where you feel welcome. We believe that no one should be alone when things go less well. We are here to listen to you. Talking helps. It is a relieve. It makes you stronger. You notice that you are not alone. And it can keep your problems from getting worse. 75% of all mental disorders arise before the age of 25. It is therefore important to get help on time. To prevent problems from worsening. And to prevent the need for long-term care (later).
