Summary
Coaching our volunteers on Monday afternoons. Providing advice and engaging in conversation when the situation warrants.Detailed description
We are looking for professionals for @ease
At an @ease location, young volunteers and experienced professionals work alongside professionals from social work and healthcare. Our volunteers conduct conversations with the young people who come in for a listening ear.
As a professional, you have a coaching role during opening hours of the @ease location, you provide advice and you intervene in a conversation when the situation requires it.
Does this role suit you as a professional? And do you want to volunteer or work with young people through your current employer? Then we're looking for you if you:
• you are (or have been) an experienced professional in healthcare or social care;
• are willing to supervise volunteers at our location;
• are stress resistant;
• are enthusiastic with good communication skills;
• have an affinity for coaching young employees;
• you can provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) (@ease requests this VOG)
for you);
• are willing to work according to the @ease values and
eg you can let go of your own beliefs
to help young people in what they want;
• you are available for at least 3.5 hours per month (1 shift)
of approximately 3.5 hours) on Mondays between 1:30 PM and 5:00 PM.
We offer you:
• a fun and friendly (!) team of volunteers and professionals from different organizations to work with;
• training in the @ease concept and the associated conversation techniques;
• a workplace where there is plenty of room for your experience as a professional, ideas and initiative;
• volunteer work where you can really make a difference for young people.
About @ease:
At @ease, young people between the ages of 12 and 25 can drop in without obligation to talk about their concerns. Topics of conversation can be very diverse: heartbreak, drug use, divorce, bullying, eating habits, study stress, depression, debt, etc. No matter how big or small the personal questions are: at @ease they can talk about them.
Talk. Anonymously and free! A trained team of enthusiastic young volunteers and professionals is ready to respond effectively to people's concerns and, if needed, can quickly help someone find the right care outside @ease.
At @ease, we believe no young person should be left alone when life isn't going well. And we could really use your help!
Are you @ease?
We would like to receive an email at apeldoorn@ease.nl with your motivation and CV.

About @ease
At @ease we believe that things can be done differently. And that things have to be different. We want to help young people with (incipient) psychological complaints earlier. We do this by being a place where you feel welcome. We believe that no one should be alone when things go less well. We are here to listen to you. Talking helps. It is a relieve. It makes you stronger. You notice that you are not alone. And it can keep your problems from getting worse. 75% of all mental disorders arise before the age of 25. It is therefore important to get help on time. To prevent problems from worsening. And to prevent the need for long-term care (later).
