Summary
Humanitas Apeldoorn is looking for volunteers for the Supervised Contact Arrangement program. You're welcome to join a friendly team of dedicated and caring volunteers.Detailed description
What do we do?
Humanitas BOR Apeldoorn focuses on supporting divorced parents in establishing a contact arrangement with their children. The best interests of the child are paramount; the sooner a well-functioning contact arrangement is established, the sooner children can find a place between their divorced parents. Support is provided by motivated and trained volunteers. The support lasts approximately 3 to 6 months. After that, the parents have reached an arrangement together.
Volunteers are not required to keep records
Activities:
- As a volunteer you supervise the interaction between children and parents
- the visits take place in the playroom and afterwards possibly at the parent's home
- As a volunteer you help children with the transition from one parent to the other
- regular consultation and contact with the other volunteers
- participation in intervision and other meetings
- the coordinator guides, monitors and supports the process
What are you bringing?
- have good social skills (good listener, able to establish and maintain good contact, able to set boundaries)
- have experience in parenting or raising children
- be able to handle privacy-sensitive data with care
