Volunteer positions Working Group Housing for the Elderly

The Housing for the Elderly working group is looking for a chairperson with a broad orientation on housing and care and a working group member with experience in financial aspects of housing and care.

In Wageningen, a working group Housing for the Elderly has been active for four years. This working group functions under the responsibility of the Platform Wageningen Elderly and works autonomously. The goal is to strive for more suitable housing options for the elderly in Wageningen, in existing neighborhoods and in new construction. Community formation and 'caring for each other' are leading in this. The working group tries to introduce innovative forms of housing and care in Wageningen. The working group frequently consults with aldermen, official project leaders, the Housing Association Wageningen, various care institutions, Solidez and project developers. The working group is involved in the preparation of various construction sites. In recent years, various successful meetings have been organized with our supporters, who we also regularly keep informed of news.

The working group consists of 5 members. In the course of 2025, 2 vacancies will arise in the working group, including the chairman. The chairman has a binding capacity and a broad orientation in the field of housing and care for the elderly. The vacancy member also concerns experience with financial aspects of housing and care.

The working group meets monthly and the members usually participate in pairs in consultations with our stakeholders. The time to be spent is approximately 4 hours per week.
