Counter clerk Thursday afternoon

On Thursday afternoons you will man the VCW counter together with a colleague. VCW has a role as a connector.

What are you going to do?

Accepting questions from residents

• You take questions from residents for help from a volunteer. Most questions come in by phone or email.
• You ask further questions to make the question as concrete and clear as possible.
• Then you forward the question to one of our partners.
• You process the data in a customer tracking system.

This is the task you will be most concerned with.

Advising people looking for volunteer work

• You think along with people to find the right volunteer work.

The crowd at the counter varies greatly. Sometimes it is busy and sometimes it is very quiet,

In addition to the counter services, there is a meeting with fellow counter staff once every 6 to 8 weeks.

What are we asking?

• you are customer-friendly and can put yourself in someone else's shoes;
• you can listen with empathy;
• you are a patient and tactical person;
• you dare to make your own choices and can work independently after training;
• you can deal with differences in hectic work: sometimes it is busy, often it is very quiet;
• You are available on Thursday afternoon from 13:45 to 16:30. We are open for customers from 14 to 16.
• You have experience with computer programs and this comes easily to you. You can also easily switch between different programs
