Detailed description
'Hello! We are Imke, Berber & Dieuwke and we work as a music therapist & speech therapist at Pieter Pauw in Wageningen, a nursing home for the elderly with dementia or a mental illness (usually due to old age).
As you get older, more and more problems can arise in the body. One of those things is that it can become increasingly difficult to talk or communicate. For this we have set up the communication choir. Every Wednesday morning we practice the speech functions with a group of residents by singing together. Singing together connects, helps to practice speech in a pleasant way and gives pleasure.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the choir!
So what should you think about?
Preparing and tidying up the room where the choir takes place.
Picking up and dropping off residents.
Singing the songs.
