Summary
For the municipality of Medemblik we are looking for volunteers who want to guide a walking group for 20 weeks, once or twice a week.
Detailed description
For the walking group we are looking for guides who want to do this permanently after support!
In collaboration with general practitioners and health centers in the municipality of Medemblik, we are working on setting up a walking group for vulnerable elderly people. Not only exercise is good for them, but also socially it can be a support for someone to interact with someone while walking.
For 20 weeks we organize a weekly walk of 60 minutes. Goals are set together with the group, which can be joint goals as well as individual goals. It is important that every participant participates according to his own ability. Within the group, differentiation is made according to walking pace and physical capabilities. Every walk starts with a warm up and exercises are offered in between.
In addition, we also offer the course: 'Hiking guide (level 1)' of the KWNB.
During the walks you walk together with a supporter of Team Sportservice West-Friesland and together you provide guidance for the walking group.
Would you like this and are you open to wanting to do this permanently after the support? Then sign up!
