Talking Hands is an organization that supports the education of deaf children and young people in Uganda.
Talking Hands is an organization that supports the education of deaf children and young people in Uganda. We support students in primary school, secondary school and vocational education and help them with a starter kit so that they can get started after completing education. We work together with our Ugandan partner organization New Hope to implement the various projects and we have regular meetings. In the Netherlands, we are involved in, among other things, selling Ugandan crafts at markets, organizing fundraising activities and raising awareness and communication about deafness and education in Uganda. In addition, we are also continuously learning by attending training courses and workshops and by networking with other organizations. We are also involved in writing annual reports and developing the policy plan. More information about Talking Hands can be found on our website; https://talking-hands.nl/
We are currently looking for several board members and volunteers to strengthen our team. Are you interested in contributing to Talking Hands? On Thursday evening, November 30 from 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM, Talking Hands is organizing an information evening in the Forum Building of Wageningen University (Droevendaalsesteeg 2, 6708 PB Wageningen). If you would like to register for this, you can send a message to 06 5283 3593.
