Gardeners

Various themed gardens have been laid out on the grounds of De Ulebelt; flower-herb gardens, a butterfly garden, a permaculture garden, a wool paint plate garden, a tea garden, a rock plant garden and a botanical garden. These gardens are maintained by volunteers. They usually work independently, but it is also possible to join a theme garden. The gardens are laid out in a nature-friendly way and the associated maintenance requires a lot of manual work. The activities are: thinking along and helping with setting up, sowing, planting, hoeing, weeding, pruning and sometimes also harvesting. Knowledge and experience are not necessary: you can learn a lot by doing. We are looking for people who, independently or with others, enjoy helping a garden grow and flourish. This can be a few hours a month or several days a week. For the botanical garden, it would be nice if someone would like to think along and join events several times a year. So if you would like to work in one of the theme gardens, please let us know!
