Board member Tuindorp playground -TREASURER-

The treasurer has an administrative vision regarding the financial policy and the investment budget.

The duties of the treasurer are:

Drafting a multi-year financial plan

Implementing e-accounting software (together with the volunteer bookkeeper)

Has insight, together with another board member, into the current financial situation;

Approve major investments

Has insight into the financial risks faced by the association, and advises on these;

Ensures the continuity of the financial administration, also in the event of succession;

Is responsible for the financial section of the annual report before 1 April of the following year;

Manages the bank accounts and any savings accounts;

Prepares the draft budget and annual accounts before they are submitted to the board.

Assesses whether expenditures and claims fall within the annual budget, the frameworks of project budgets, and/or agreements made during board meetings;

Checks potential reports before they are sent out

Checks insurance policies and energy bills once a year

Who are we?

Playground Association Tuindorp has been a household name in Wageningen for over 70 years, and a vibrant meeting place for children and their parents/guardians. We organize not only play sessions, but also activities for children and the elderly.

Our board consists of a team of enthusiastic volunteers who, together with a group of loyal playground volunteers, keep the association running.

In the development of the organization, there is a need for an Executive Board that will address a number of structural issues that are prerequisite for a future-proof social enterprise like Tuindorp. This is not a matter of 'minding the shop', but much more of 'renovating while preserving what is good, and keeping the shop open'.

This requires sensitive leadership to take steps together.
