Summary

Help with after-school outdoor play sessions in Rhenen and Elst. Based in Wageningen. Supervised free play (ages 6–12) with loose materials, together with a Play Expert.

Detailed description

Each play session lasts 1.5 hours and is designed for children aged 6 to 12. The play sessions are supervised by an experienced Play Worker (play expert) from SpelenMaar and one volunteer.

Before starting the course, you will receive a clear explanation of the entire program and you will follow a short, two-hour introductory PlayWork training.

  • You like to learn new things
  • You don't mind getting dirty
  • You like carrying and building with sometimes quite heavy items
  • You may not speak Dutch very well (yet) — that's no problem
  • It is important that you understand Dutch

  • Practical

  • You will receive a volunteer allowance

What do you get in return? You'll work in an inspiring and playful environment where fun, exercise, and the outdoors are central. You'll gain new experiences and knowledge through playwork and loose parts play, see children enjoying themselves, and be part of a dedicated and friendly team of two play experts and several volunteers, where teamwork and enthusiasm are paramount.
