Our support center Eemnes is looking for a friendly volunteer who occasionally wants to cook for a group of about 7 people, during the week or at the weekend.
Detailed description
No, standing as close as in the picture is unfortunately not possible, but it looks so cozy. This vacancy is corona-proof, we all keep a distance of 1.5 meters.
For a support center in Eemnes we are looking for 1 or 2 volunteers who want to provide lunch or dinner once every 2 to 3 weeks.
The clients live independently in the neighborhood, but regularly come to the support center for socializing, a chat, a cup of coffee or dinner together. They are clients with NAH (non-congenital brain damage) or a mild disability.
Do you like cooking and socializing and if this vacancy would be fun to you, please contact us for a no-obligation introductory meeting with Amber or Olga, our volunteer coordinators. And if you have a nice dog, it can of course also come along.
At various other locations within Sherpa there is also a demand for volunteers who enjoy cooking there. In some locations this is with the clients.
Volunteers are indispensable. We realize that very well. That is why Sherpa wants to take good care of the volunteer. There will be an introduction to see if this volunteer vacancy suits you. If you decide to assist us with this, you will work with an enthusiastic team of supervisors.
You will be asked for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). This can be requested free of charge.
Every volunteer is insured during the execution of the work and you will of course receive a reimbursement for your travel costs. A party evening for volunteers is organized once every two years. Of course you will receive a Christmas package and the Sherpa magazine twice a year.
