Grief & Gratitude @ the market square in Wageningen, to light a candle, to write something or tie a ribbon in a tree....
We make room for grief in the middle of the city of Wageningen. A glasshouse in a public place, at the market square. To give grief a place in social life and to make it discussable. A place to light a candle or write something. The last two weeks of December, because the month of December feels lonely for many people.
When?
From December 14 to 28, 2024. Every day between 11:00 and 20:00, also during Christmas, everyone is welcome in the glasshouse.
Will you help?
We need volunteers to 'staff' the glasshouse. To offer a listening ear, answer questions or just 'be there'. We work with 4 volunteers in 2 teams per day, from 11:00 to 15:30 or 15:30 to 20:00. More shifts are also possible.
Before the opening, a kick-off meeting for volunteers will be organized (December 9th, 19:30). You can register as a volunteer here or via the website, https://rouwenenvierenwageningen.nl/vrijwilligers/.
