Detailed description
We're creating space for mourning in the heart of the city. A greenhouse in a public space, the market square in Wageningen. To give grief a place in society and make it a topic of discussion. A place to light a candle or write something. The last two weeks of December, because December can feel lonely for many people.
When?
From December 14 to 28, 2025. Every day between 11:00 AM and 8:00 PM, including the Christmas holidays, everyone is welcome in the greenhouse.
Will you help?
We need volunteers to staff the greenhouse during opening hours, and we could really use your help! We can lend a listening ear, answer questions, or just be there. We have four volunteers working in two teams each day (from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM and from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM). You can sign up for multiple half-days, but just one half-day is also ideal.
Before the opening, a volunteer kickoff meeting will be held on Monday evening, December 9th, at 7:30 PM. We will share practical information and the schedule, so everyone can prepare properly.
