Proeftuin van Linschoten is looking for volunteers who want to help at the ecological market garden in a cozy team at a beautiful location.
About Proeftuin Linschoten:
Since 2022, the old pear orchard on the Linschoten estate has been transformed into an edible landscape with a market garden, where cultivation takes place in a nature-inclusive, organic way: The Linschoten Proeftuin. Here we grow various vegetables for vegetable packages and self-harvesters.
Are you interested in helping to build this inspiring place in a beautiful location with a friendly group of volunteers and horticulturists? Everyone is welcome! Participate in the daily garden work, enjoy the beauty of De Proeftuin, the tranquility and relax.
Volunteer work
There is plenty to do all year round at the market garden. There is always a suitable job for everyone: sowing, planting, harvesting, weeding, driving compost, watering or preparing the vegetable packages.
The gardeners are present on weekdays and we prefer to start the day together with the volunteers at 09:00 or 13:00. If another time suits you better, please let us know. After a short explanation from the gardeners, everyone gets to work independently or in small groups. In between we take a break with each other and there is coffee, tea and something sweet.
Do you want to come on a fixed day of the week? Very nice, this way we get to know each other better and we can count on you. We like to share our working method and knowledge with you and like it when volunteers can also work independently in the long run. If you prefer to help without obligation, you are also very welcome.
