Summary
Every day after lunch, participants and volunteers from the Odensehuis take a walk in the beautiful surroundings.
Detailed description
The physical benefits of walking are now well known, but physical activity also improves learning ability and long-term memory. Exercise also has positive effects on mental health. For example, walking can distract you from negative thoughts, boost self-esteem, and make you feel better about yourself.
We usually walk in 2 groups: a group of participants without aids and a group of participants with aids such as a walking stick, rollator and in some cases a wheelchair.
We are looking for walking volunteers who are able to lead a group of participants together with experienced volunteers and/or an Odensehuis employee and who can easily make contact.

A private place where people can be themselves, meet each other and where there is room to participate based on their own possibilities. The Odensehuis supports and encourages people with early dementia to remain active and independent for as long as possible. Participants, volunteers and professionals jointly organize the day.
