Every day after lunch, participants and volunteers from the Odensehuis take a walk in the beautiful surroundings.
The physical benefits of walking are now well known, but physical activity also improves learning ability and long-term memory. Exercise also has positive effects on mental health. For example, walking can distract from negative thoughts, increase self-esteem and make you feel better about yourself.

It is a place of their own where people can be themselves, meet each other, and where there is room to participate according to their own abilities. The Odensehuis supports and encourages people with early-stage dementia to remain active and independent for as long as possible. Participants, volunteers, and professionals jointly shape the daily schedule.
