Who are we?

The Connection is a meeting place for local residents in Apeldoorn South. We have various activities including eating together, the lunchroom and creative activities. We are open on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30 am to 1 pm.

The Connection is located at Hofveld 21-23 in Apeldoorn.

Activities

We are looking for a volunteer who holds a consultation hour once a week from 10-12 am (preferably on Thursday morning) to advise and assist our visitors.

You can think of:

- You advise visitors with various requests for help.

- You identify bottlenecks and give this back to the visitor.

- You mediate and/or telephone with or for the visitor with authorities.

- You refer to authorities (first internally, then externally).

- You support requests for food bank requests / grants.

- Check the so-called office hours email and answer it if necessary.

- Make notes for statistics and reporting.

- Carrying out work according to the checklist.

- Be present at the transfer of details of visitors/events with coordinator De Connection and group employee.

We ask

We think it is important that you are reliable and the following competencies are also important:

- You can listen well and are friendly in contact.

- You can answer questions from visitors clearly or look for a suitable solution.

- You have knowledge of the social map (internal and external).

- Being able to act appropriately in crisis situations is entrusted to you.

- You have basic computer knowledge of Word and Excel.

- You have a neat appearance

We offer

You will be trained and receive sufficient backup to be able to do your work properly.

We offer our volunteers a dynamic workplace and three times a year a moment where the volunteers can meet each other, think along and where we thank the volunteers.
