Volunteer Walk-in hours FormsHelp in Nieuwleusen & Dalfsen
The Forms Support Center is an accessible consultation hour for people from the municipality of Dalfsen who need information, questions or help with their administration and money matters. Volunteers of the walk-in consultation hour are trained for this work and are ready to assist the visitor with advice and assistance.
Do you like to help others? Are you available on average 3 hours a week? Do you like to work in a fun and driven team? Then volunteering at the Support Center is for you.
This is what we ask of you:
• You have general knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to money matters. This includes specific knowledge of municipal social facilities/social card;
• You have experience and/or affinity with administrative activities such as filling in forms (digitally);
• You have good computer skills;
• You have a good oral and written command of the Dutch language;
• You are a good listener, you are patient and you can ask further questions;
• You have an affinity with non-native speakers/elderly and low-literate people
• You promote the self-reliance of the visitors as much as possible;
• You are in possession of a VOG or are willing to apply for one.
Your tasks:
• You always work together with another volunteer; In Nieuwleusen you work together with refugee workers.
• You talk to visitors about questions regarding money matters;
• You offer help with filling in forms: remission forms, benefits, WMO indications, applications for special assistance, application for DigiD, etc.;
• You may call authorities together with the visitors;
• You offer help with reading/explaining letters;
• You offer help with writing letters or simple objections;
• You provide an impetus for learning to make an overview of income and expenditure;
• You make an overview of payment arrears and debts together with the visitor;
• You offer help with referrals to chain partners and other (aid) organizations;
• You offer help in finding your way in the digital world of agencies;
• You give financial tips to make ends meet.
